Celebration of 60 years of fuzzy sets
Fuzz-IEEE 2025 is celebrating 60 years of fuzzy sets by letting the fuzzy set community members share their thoughts about past achievements and future challenges. Participation does not require either registration or attendance to the conference, and so, it is open to the entire community.
In order to participate, a brief note must be submitted (maximum 4 pages in the Conference format) focusing on one or more of the following:
- A. what you consider to be (at least one of) the most significant recent contributions in the fuzzy systems area in the past 10 years;
- B. what you consider to be (at least one of) the most significant challenges for the future;
- C. what you consider to be extremely relevant contributions in these 60 years, highlighting those that are particularly important for you, without intending to be exhaustive.
All contributions will be included in a booklet that will be made public open-access on the Website of the Conference. These contributions will not be part of the conference proceedings, will be free of charge, and will require no presentation by the authors at the conference. A presentation of a summary of the ideas in the contributions will be prepared and presented at the Conference by the organisers of this activity, Jesús Chamorro and Daniel Sánchez Fernández, and will also be made available.
We think that this is a very good opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts about the past, present and future of research in the area of fuzzy sets and related theories. We encourage you to participate and to disseminate this announcement to anyone who might be interested.
